A new event, focused on the latest trends in protection of our planet is taking place on April 7th2019 at the Prague Naplavka, Rašínově nábřeží.
During the whole-day event, three thematic areas—Zero Waste and Slow; Green and E-zone; and Vegan Zone—will showcase the most interesting Czech projects and individuals included in building and promoting a lifestyle focused on saving the Planet. Throughout the event, the main stage will see many talks and discussions about the latest trends and possibilities of ecological living and improved quality of life.
The whole riverside part of the event will house a grand Eco-Vegan market where visitors are invited to explore the Czech slow fashion brands and designers, zero waste products and to taste the amazing and mouth-watering new vegan dishes.
The main organizer and creator of Planet Fest, Iva Linda Maruščáková from Vegan Fighter has told us: “Our event showcases a wide variety of possibilities which each and every one of us can choose to elect in our daily lives. Be it Slow Cosmetics or clothes which make us think more about the quality of the product and limit waste—the overall principles of Zero Waste—use of products which we can refill and using alternatives to the widespread single-use plastic bags, or the way we eat. Planet Fest will give each visitor a wide scope of the latest news and trends which they can learns about, try on the spot and decide which are applicable for their daily life. Thinking about our impact on others on this planet is the main goal we wish the visitors leave with”.
The key knowledge hub of the even will be the presentation zones in which visitors can learn about e-car sharing or bike sharing, and electric vehicles in general. Furthermore, the topic of house building with renewability and sustainability will be covered by the advisors from the Centre for passive building.
An especially fun and colourful place is the Play area where the youngest visitors can try out with their parents and other grownups how to play in a whole new way while using the principles of Zero Waste, minimalism, ecology, animal protection, and health. Each play corner will be represented by one of the projects participating in the Planet Fest, with Vegan Fighter offering inspiration how to live a healthy and active lifestyle while being considerate of animals around us.
“We are very happy to see how the interest of people has grown towards the topics of protection of the planet and the animals. In our future events of the well-received Veggie Naplavka we have met thousands of visitors. With this in mind we wish to expand the possibilities of offering inspiration and to align our topic to their interests”.
The motto of Planet Fest is “Enjoy considerately” and at the event the options of applying this motto in everyday life are at your fingertips.
Being considerate is the key element of this concept. Having this in mind, the organizers have joined the movement of Prague 2 “Sunday in silence” and have conceptualized the event accordingly.
